[BN/WO] The Year’s Best from Women in Horror (Vol. 1) – First Call for Submissions

The Year’s Best from Women in Horror, a new annual reprint anthology, is now open for submissions. Lindy Ryan says, “Women have always shaped horror. We have written its monsters and haunted houses, its ghosts and witches, its final girls and terrible mothers. We have used horror to explore fear and rage, grief and desire, bodies and identity, family and power.

“And while women’s contributions to the genre have historically been buried, ignored, or forgotten, today’s work—particularly work published by independent presses, small magazines, digital venues, limited-run anthologies, and other ephemeral spaces—still too often disappears from the larger genre conversation almost as quickly as it arrives.”
